In accordance with applicable laws relating to electronic transactions and data protection in Mauritius, users are hereby informed that the website enables the purchase of museum admission tickets online.

By accessing and using this website and/or proceeding with a purchase, the user expressly acknowledges and agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions of Sale (hereinafter “the Terms”). Sugarworld Limited reserves the right to amend or update these Terms at any time without prior notice. The version in force at the time of purchase shall apply.

1. ACCESS AND USE OF THE WEBSITE

Users agree to use the website lawfully and not to engage in any activity that could harm or disrupt the website’s operation, security or integrity. Sugarworld Limited reserves the right to suspend access to the website at any time for maintenance, security or legal reasons.

WARNING – Ticket fraud: Users are strongly advised to purchase tickets exclusively through the official L’Aventure du Sucre website https://ticket.aventuredusucre.com. Sugarworld Limited shall not be held responsible for tickets purchased through third-party or unauthorised platforms.

3. TICKET CATEGORIES AND PRICING

Several ticket categories are available on the website, subject to availability and applicable promotions. Pricing for each category is displayed on the website at the time of purchase.

Visitors eligible for reduced or free admission may be required to present valid supporting documentation upon entry. Sugarworld Limited reserves the right to refuse entry or apply the standard rate if proof of eligibility cannot be provided.

All prices are displayed inclusive of applicable taxes. Sugarworld Limited reserves the right to modify pricing at any time. The price applicable to any given purchase is the price displayed at the time the order is confirmed.

4. PAYMENT

4.1 Accepted Payment Methods

Payments are accepted exclusively by credit or debit card (Visa, Mastercard, or as otherwise indicated on the checkout page). All online transactions are secured using industry-standard encryption protocols (3D-Secure or equivalent).

Sugarworld Limited does not store payment card details. Payment processing is handled by a certified third-party payment service provider.

4.2 Order Confirmation

Once payment has been successfully processed, the user will receive a booking confirmation by email. This email will contain the order details along with their e-ticket in QR code format. This confirmation email constitutes the binding contract between the user and Sugarworld Limited.

Tickets will be sent by email within 24 hours of purchase and, in any event, no later than 24 hours before the scheduled visit. If you do not receive your confirmation email, please check your spam or junk folder before contacting us.

5. TICKETS – TERMS OF USE

5.1 Validity

Each ticket is valid for the selected date at the time of booking only. Tickets are strictly personal and non-transferable. The lead booker may be required to present a valid form of identification upon entry.

Re-entry to the museum is not permitted once a visitor has exited the premises.

5.2 Ticket Presentation

Visitors must present their e-ticket (on a mobile device or printed) at the entrance. QR codes must be clearly legible. Sugarworld Limited shall not be liable for entry refusal resulting from a damaged, illegible or duplicated QR code.

5.3 Anti-Fraud

Tickets obtained through unauthorised resellers, mirror websites, or any other unauthorised channel may be invalidated without refund. Sugarworld Limited reserves the right to refuse entry to the holder of any ticket suspected of fraud.

6. CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

6.1 General Rule – No Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with applicable law, the sale of museum admission tickets constitutes a sale of leisure services tied to a specific date. As such, no statutory right of withdrawal applies. Tickets are non-refundable, non-exchangeable and non-modifiable once purchased.

6.2 No-Show

Visitors who fail to attend on the date indicated on their ticket (no-show) are not entitled to a refund, exchange, or credit note.

6.3 Cancellation or Closure by Sugarworld Limited

In the event that Sugarworld Limited cancels or significantly modifies a scheduled visit (e.g., due to unplanned closure, safety concerns, or unavoidable circumstances), affected visitors will be entitled to one of the following, at Sugarworld Limited’s discretion:

Any request for refund under this article must be submitted within one (1) month of the scheduled visit date, by email to administration@aventuredusucre.com, stating the booking reference number and visit date.

6.4 Disputed Transactions

In the event of an unauthorised or disputed payment transaction, the purchaser should contact Sugarworld Limited at administration@aventuredusucre.com in the first instance before initiating any chargeback procedure with their card issuer. Disputed transactions must be notified within 30 days of the transaction date. Sugarworld Limited recalls that any person completing a purchase on the website is deemed to have acted with the required capacity and authorisation, in accordance with Article 2 of these Terms.

7. FORCE MAJEURE

In the event that Sugarworld Limited is unable to perform its obligations, in whole or in part, due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control (hereinafter “Force Majeure”), the affected obligations shall be suspended for the duration of such event. Unlike cancellations under Article 6.3, Force Majeure events are beyond the reasonable control of either party, and the remedies available differ accordingly.

In such circumstances, the visitor shall contact Sugarworld Limited at administration@aventuredusucre.com no later than one (1) month following the scheduled visit date, stating their booking reference number and visit date. Sugarworld Limited will endeavour to reschedule the visit. Where rescheduling is not practicable, a credit voucher of equivalent value, redeemable for purchases at the restaurant or shop, will be offered. Where neither option is reasonably practicable, a refund may be issued at Sugarworld Limited’s discretion.

8. CONDITIONS OF VISIT

8.1 Time Slots and Entry

Visitors must arrive on the date indicated on their ticket and no later than 3:00 pm. Visitors presenting outside these conditions may be refused entry without refund.

8.2 Conduct and Safety

All visitors must comply with the museum’s safety rules, instructions from staff, and applicable regulations at all times. Sugarworld Limited reserves the right to refuse entry to, or to remove from the premises, any visitor who:

8.4 Photography

Personal, non-commercial photography and video recording is permitted within the museum unless otherwise indicated in specific areas. Photography, and video recording for commercial purposes are prohibited without prior written authorisation from Sugarworld Limited.

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The use of the website is undertaken entirely at the user’s own risk. Sugarworld Limited shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damages arising from:

12. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Mauritius.

In the event of a dispute arising from the interpretation or performance of these Terms, the parties agree to first seek an amicable resolution. Failing that, any dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Mauritius.
